CheckChime
Privacy

Your reminders stay yours.

CheckChime does not require an account and has no ads, analytics, or developer-operated server. Your reminder information stays on your devices.

Information stored on your devices

CheckChime stores your reminder name, notification wording, selected schedule and sound, completion timestamps, and any custom sound you import. It uses this information to schedule alerts, show your settings, and keep your check log.

The iPhone app shares schedule and check status with its widget through local app storage. With a paired Apple Watch, CheckChime sends settings and the check log to the Watch. A custom sound can be sent to the Watch for preview. Watch check-in and snooze actions are sent back to the iPhone. This information is not sent to the developer or a developer-operated service.

Alarms, notifications, and imported audio

When you enable reminders, CheckChime asks iOS for alarm or notification access and schedules your selected reminders. iOS and watchOS control delivery. Custom audio you choose is copied into local app storage and converted to a suitable format for notification sounds.

Retention and control

You can pause reminders and clear your check log in the app. Settings and imported audio remain on your device while CheckChime is installed. Removing the app removes its local app data. Apple manages operating system alarm and notification records.

Changes to this policy

If CheckChime’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before a version with those changes is released.
